Lifts

The efficiency of a building and its flexible usage are determined by both the internal transport infrastructure and its links to the outside. Using special simulation programmes we identify the economic-orientated arrangement, number, and design of your lifts for your specific conditions of use. Our goal in doing so is an efficient building.

Lifts in buildings with public access must be designed according to the size of the lift cars and, regarding operability,  in such a way that they can also be used by persons with varying disabilities.

Fireman's lifts in Europe must comply with EN 81‑72. As fire seems to be different in all countries and cities, the requirements for fireman's lifts also differ. We make sure that your fireman's lifts meet the requirements of the local fire authority.

Detailed and company-neutral planing, call for tenders and quality monitoring ensures the desired quality.

Our Services for Lifts

  • Development and optimization of lift system concepts
  • Traffic analyses with presentation of alternatives
  • Compilation of specifications
  • Comparison and evaluation of tender offers
  • Contract negotiations or participation in the contract negotiations
  • Participation in the allocation of tenders and compilation of specifications (initialled)
  • Assessment of the specification documents of the manufacturer
  • Construction supervision for quality assurance
  • Examination of the performance with respect to proper contract fulfilment

Traffic Analysis

Traffic analyses  are based on the overall number of passengers as well as the proportion of these passengers who have to be tranported in a certain time within the building.

Our traffic analysis determines the necessary number of lifts, the speed of the lifts, and the size of the lift cars. Our task as planning engineers is to ensure an optimal lift service with the least possible number of high-quality lifts.

Three important criteria for the design of passenger lifts are:

  • short waiting times
  • as few stops as possible until the target landing and
  • adequate room in the lift car so that direct contact between passengers is avoided

That is how we prepare a traffic analysis

We prepare our own traffic analyses. We aim to minimize the required space by choosing the most efficient lifts. ...

Escalators / Moving Walkways

For buildings with a high volume of passenger traffic escalators and moving walkways are an important means of transportation.

These systems have to be appropriately dimensioned and installed, especially for airports, exhibition buildings, railway stations and shopping centers.

Good quality ensures high availabilty and safety.

Our Services for Escalators / Moving Walkways:

  • Development and optimization of escalator concepts
  • Compilation of specifications
  • Comparison and evaluation of tender offers
  • Contract negotiations or participation in the contract negotiations
  • Participation in the allocation of tenders and compilation of specifications (initialled)
  • Assessment of the specification documents of the manufacturer
  • Construction supervision for quality assurance
  • Examination of the performance with respect to proper contract fulfilment

More Services for Escalators / Moving Walkways in Existing Buildings:

  • On-site evaluation and documentation of the results
  • Check of maintenance status and contracts
  • Statement of required refurbishment or modernization
  • Comparison of modernization and complete replacement with effect on maintenance costs

Facade Access Systems

Outdoor facades rely on effective facade access systems for the cleaning, repair and, if necessary, replacement of facade elements.

With our experience combined with the latest technological possibilities we will find the perfect solution for the most complex building structures.

Our Services for Facade Access Systems:

Developement of economic cleaning systems for sophisticated building facades – indoor and outdoor.

Modernization

Depending on the components installed, type of use, and quality of maintenance, your lifts, escalators, moving walkways and facade access systems should work reliably for a minimum of twenty years.

Modernization can become necessary when a normal period of use comes to an end, with a change in intended use, or with systems which have been troublesome from the beginning.

What kind of modernization work is required?

  • We evaluate your existing system, advise you in a company-neutral manner and develop the appropriate modernization concept for you.
  • We compare and evaluate tender offers.
  • We supervise the implimentation.

Our goal is to ensure that, after modernization, your systems will provide safe and trouble-free service for many years to come.

Before and After Comparison (as-built drawing - replacement)

Our Services for Lifts, Escalators, Moving Walkways and Facade Access Systems in Existing Buildings:

  • On-site evaluation and documentation of the results
  • Check of technical facilies
  • Check of maintenance status and contracts
  • Statement of required refurbishment or modernization
  • Comparison of modernization and complete replacement with effect on maintenance costs
  • Compilation of specifications
  • Contract negotiations or participation in the contract negotiations
  • Construction supervision for quality assurance
  • Examination of the performance with respect to proper contract fulfilment
  • Facility management services for lifts

Expert's Reports

We evaluate your lift systems, escalators, moving walkways and facade access systems on site, perform measurements and document their condition. In our expert reports we comment in detail on technical facilities and maintenance status.

We propose suitable solutions and name the costs.

If you want to purchase property, we test and evaluate the condition of your systems. We anticipate expected investment costs if any deficiencies are found.

Facility-Management

Future maintainance costs are always part of our calls for tender.

We compiled our own, company-neutral model contracts for lifts. If followed, these should ensure that the quality of the lift systems is maintained in the long-term.

We check whether the maintainance companies deliver the services you pay for.
